Another busy year in the life of the Young Seekers came to a close with our Family Gift Day Service on the 18th May. We thank everyone for their generous support for all our efforts over the year, the Harvest Dried Food Appeal, the Christmas Boxes and the CMS Ireland projects through the Harvest Soup & Roll Lunch and the little boxes. We hope that through these activities the children are learning to serve God and realize their responsibility to share what they have with others less fortunate than themselves. We thank Suzanne & Gemma Haskins for their continuous loyalty anddedication and also all the other young teenagers who Sadly numbers have dwindled a little more this year and again we encourage parents, if they are unable to attend the 11am service, to please leave their children with us in the church, we are always there at the back. The Footsteps project is now well under way and has already raised over £400.00! Footsteps key rings are still available for sale in the hall porch for £2.00 each. These were made by Agnes and other Maasai women in Kajiado in the raining centre, and the money for the key rings goes directly back to the centre. Finally, we pay tribute to Avra, who has stepped down after many, many years of dedicated service. In the words of Young Seeker Natasha Hackett, “Thank you for being so kind and helpful and we will all miss you very much”. We wish all the Young Seekers and their families and the whole church family Person Sharon & Kim. Right click for SmartMenu shortcuts |
